Board of County Commissioners in special session those present
being: Commissioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr, Pettit, that Joseph
Muscaro, Superintendent of the County Bridges, is hereby appointed Purchasing Agent replacing
Albert P. Delsandro, this action to be eff+ec:tiye February 1, 1961.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr, CwmRins, seconded by Mr, Pettit, that August
DePaul, Foreman of the County Bridges, is hereby appointed Superintendent of the County Bridges,
replacing Joseph Muscaro, this action to be effective February 1, 1961.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at
this time, the meeting adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in special session those present
being: Commissioners Pettit, Gun gins and Mazza.
At this time, Controller Elish, entered the meeting for the
purpose of opening Fleet Insurance bids.
Only one bid was received on February 6, 1961, and said bid was
initialed at 31:00 a.m., by Controller E1ish and Chief Clerk Di Filippo. The fallowing bid was
opened and read in accordance with the advertisement for Fleet Insurance for Public Liability,
Property Damage., Comprehensive A.C.V., Fire, Theft, and Collision coverage.

schedule of equipment attached hereto, to be written for a term of one (1) year effective at
10:01 a.m., February 18, 1961.

Motion by Mr, Cummins., seconded by Mr. Mazza,, that WILLIAM J. LANE., 480
Front Street,, Fredericktown, Pemsylvania, be awarded the contract for the furnishing of Fleet
Insurance for Public Liability,, Property Damage., Comprehensive A.C.V. Fire., Theft and
Collision Coverage,, to be placed with the MARYLAND CASUALTY COMPANY, and written for a one (1)
year tuft; effective at 10:01 a.m... February 18, 1961; this being the lowest and only bid
received in the amount total of $3#788.90.
Motion carried unanimously with Mr. Elish leaving the meeting.
Motion by Mr. Cummins,, seconded by 14r,6 Mazza.. that Audley S. Crumrine,,
Executive Director of the County Housing-, Authority,, be appointed to fill a vacancy on the
Washington County Redevelopment Authority Board. The vacancy was created by John Marasovich,,
who retired due to a conflict in business schedules. The appointment will be in effect for
five (5) years with the being date of July 30,, 1960,
Motion carried unanimously.
In reference to the above motion in a letter of February 3., 1961, from
Kerry McAmbleyp Executive Director of the Washington County Redevelopment Authority, he stated
that the County Redevelopment Authority has received a Federal Grant for the redevelopment of
the Central Business District of Washington Cit.* and will be receiving other applications., it
is important that the Authority be a working group which can conveniently meet regularly to
deal with the many complex community problems that arise in buying property and moving people and
business.
