Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the resignation of
Joseph P. Femiani, Liquid Fuels Clerk, Engineers Office, be accepted as submitted, The effecti-
date of resignation being April 1, 1961,
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County enter into an
Agreement with the Canonsburg Central Business District providing for a contribution of $500,00
and an Agreement to permit the services of the staff of the Redevelopment Authority for the pre-
paration of a redevelopment application for the redevelopment of Tylerdale.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the
amount of $74.64 be made payable to Mellon National Bank & Trust Co., to cover a portion of the
Personal Property tax paid for the year 1960 on July 30, 1960. On April 1, 1960, Mellon National
Bank & Trust Co, filed with Washington County their 1960 Personal Property Sundry List, including
Account No, 400-500 for M. Elma Evans. The return for this account was based upon taxable secur.
ities valued at $121,520. The Bank erroneously filed for the full market value on the following
stock: 2840 shares Affiliated Fund, Inc., 0 $7948...$21,243.04,820 sham Television Electric
Fund Inc., @ $16.25...$13,325.00 total $34,568.20. The Bank should have filed these stocks in tk
following way being that they are taxable at a proportionate amount of the market valuation.
2840 shares Affiliated Fund, Inc., @ $3.20....$9,088.00, 820 shares Television Electric Fund, Inc
@ $7.12.... $5,838.40 total $14,926.40. Therefore, the Personal Property Department of the Tax
Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $74.64
prepared on the proportionate amount of the total tax paid ($19,640 valuation at 4 mills--$78.56
minus discount. Check to be made payable to Mellon National Bank & Trust Co., Trustee U/D.T. of
M. Elma Evanst_ Mellon Square (Room 816) Pittsburgh 30,-Pennsylvania.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the
meeting adjourned.
