DONORA MOTOR COMPANY
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the quotation as submit
by Donora Motor Co., First & Meldon Avenue, Donora, Pa., for the furnishing of a 1961 Ford Dump
Truck - 2 Ton - F-600 be accepted in the total amount of $4135.00, this being the lowest
received and is in accordance with the specifications.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Application for
Aid from Liquid Fuels Tax Fund, as submitted by Ellsworth Borough, Washington County, Pennsylva
be approved in the amount of $2,200.00, contingent on approval by Department of Highways. This
amount to be used for improvements in said Borough as outlined in their application which is on
file in both the Office of the Chief Clerk and County Controller.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Norbert Lesniakowski,
employed in Account No. 2451-c-1, Liquid Fuels Tax Fund, is to be deleted from the payroll
effective the 10th day of April, 1961, until further notice.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the
meeting adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being:
Commissioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be
authorized to advertise for bids for the construction of the Woodland Avenue Bridge over
Creek. Said bids to be opened at 1:30 p.m., May 10, 1961, at a meeting of the Board of County
Commissioners.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution
concerning the proposed construction of Route 88 in Carroll Township and a point in the City of
Monongahela, all in Washington County, Pennsylvania, be adopted:
R E S O L U T I O N
BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners of Washington County, Washington,
Pennsylvania, that the proposed construction, including the changing of grade; lines; locations;
and widths of State Highway 247-T.R. 88 from a point adjacent to the Monongahela Valley Country
Club, in Carroll Township, to a point in the City of Monongahela, all in Washington County,
Pennsylvania; has been considered by the Washington County Commissioners, and they agree that

Washington County will not assume liabilty for any property damages resulting from the changing
of the above highway as proposed; or any damages arising out of changes or alterations of drain-
age resulting from the construction or maintenance of this highway; or any damages resulting to
any property holdings of any Public Utility Company, nor will the County assume any damages re-
sulting to Coal or other Minerals, or Water, in and underlying the property affected by this
improvement; but upon presentation of a completed plan, when said plan is approved by the
Washington County Commissioners, Washington County will contribute the sum of One Hundred Thou-
sand ($100,000.00) Dollars toward the payment of property damages; said sums to be paid as follo�
1. $20,000.00 to be paid September 1, 1962
2. $20,000.00 to be paid September 1, 1963
3. $20,000.00 to be paid September 1, 1964
4. $20,000.00 to be paid September 1, 1965
5. $20,000.00 to be paid September 1, 1966
These contributions by Washington County are made with the understanding that pay-
ments will be due and payable only upon certification from the Secretary of Highways that each of
the above listed payments have been expended by the Department of Highways in the settlement of
property damages in connection with the aforesaid improvement.

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following agreement entered
into between the Redevelopment Authority of Washington County, Pennsylvania, and Washington
County, Pennsylvania, be accepted:
AGREEMENT
By and Between The
REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
and
WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
THIS AGREEMENT entered into by and between WASHINGTON COUNTY and the REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF WASHINGTON, All in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, the County of Washington agrees to provide quarters, light and heat for
the staff of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington, and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington agrees to pay the
County of Washington One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per month for the duration of the Washington
City Redevelopment Project Study for providing them with quarters, light and heat.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement this loth day
of April, 1961, retroactive to January 12, 1961,

Motion by Mr. Cummins,, seconded by Mr. Mazza., that the quotation as
submitted by Donora Motor Company, First and Meldon Avenue., Donora,, Pennsylvania., be accepted for
the furnishing and delivering of one 1961 Ford Fairlane 2 door Sedan., for the total sum of
$2,11288.00; this price includes the automatic transmission and allowance for the 1951 Pontiac
trade-in. Donora Motor Company was the lowest quotation received. Car is to be charged to the
Sheriff's Office.
Motion carried unanimously.
In regard to the purchasing of equipment for the Registration Office of
the County Commissioners, the following motion was made by Mr. Cummins and seconded by Mr. Mazza.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire equipment to provide an adequate filing
system in the Registration Office, and
