Motion carried unanimously with Mr. Mazza making the following comments.
Commissioner Mazza commented on that portion of the Budget involving the
Domestic Relations DePartmentp with a recommendation that that Department be eliminated and its
work be assumed by the Office of the District Attorney. With further comment, that the Adult
Probation Office is overstaffed and should be reduced in proportion to the work involved and
with a further warning that all departments and offices to keep their expenditures within the
amounts appropriated for their respective departments and offices.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the
meeting adjourned,

Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being:
Commissioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Mazza,, seconded by Mr. Cummins., that Washington--Qqunty execute
two (2) Right of Way Agreements with the Washington -East Washington Joint Authority in the
Seventh Ward, City of Washington, in connection with the Flood Control Project.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the following Resolution
in connection with the Washington County Airport be adopted-.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS., the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Agency has approved a
project and tendered to the County of Washington, Pennsylvania., a Grant Offer under which the
United States commits itself in accordance with the terms stated therein to pay 50 per centum
of all allowable project costs of certain development at the Washington County Airport; and,
WHEREAS, the Offer made by the United States must be accepted in the manner
provided in the terms thereof and in accordance with the regulations incorporated therein by
reference; therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED:
(1) That the County of Washington does hereby accept the Grant Offer
issued on the project by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Agency
as hereinafter set forth in the attached Grant Agreement,
(2) The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is hereby authoriz
to execute the Grant Agreement in the manner provided as evidence of the
County's acceptance, and the Chief Clerk is authorized to attest such
execution and to affix the County's seal thereto, and
(3) A copy of the Grant Agreement formed by the Grant Offer and Acceptan
hereinbefore mentioned, is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolu
