Motion by Mr. Cvmdugs seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution be
RESOLUTION
W",RWs Washington County may properly be classified as a depressed or oc -
cally unhealthy county, and
ddiEMs: It has come to the attention of the County Convissioners that the state
gover ment of the Comsnom»alth of Pennsylvania has carried on and will centime to carry sn a
decentralizing program mhereby certain bureaus, offices, branches and functions of said state
government have boon and will be located in various places istheC0100301041th outside the
state capital, and
VAEMS: Washizgton County would benefit economically if such facilities worn to
be located within its borders,
NOW, 1I2FEFORE0 BE IT RESOLVED, that the County 44mmissionore of Washington
County to hereby request and petition the Governor and the General Asseubly to give priority
consideration to the location in Washington County of any bursau, office, building, headquar
branch, or-finction of the State Government that may properly -be` transferred thereto or sste
ed therein.
Motion carried ugly.

Board of County Commissioners met in special session those present being: Comm-
issioners Pettit, Cumdm and Maria.
Motion by Mr. Cwmdm,, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that as AVmmwwb be negotiated and
a contract entered iste with Critohfield Engineering Associates, Wood Street, Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, for engineering services for the development of a schedule of work, estimates of
cost as required in the rehabilitation, repair and replaosment of County bridges, including
engineering Aalyses, design ations, drawings and specifications as may be necessary for
submitting such work for bidding.
