RESOLUTION

BE IT RESOLVED by the Cemuissioners of Washington County that 16 Plans submitted
for the changing of grades, lines, and widths of State Highway Routh 62178 - Section 11, Station
17+30 to Station 132+98.50 in California and Centerville Borough, Waskingtow County, Pernsyl^vm
have been wmminsdby the County Commissioners and they agree that Washington County will not
assume liability for any property damages resulting from the changing of the above Route as
contaVlated by these Plans; or amy damages arising out of any changes or -alterations of irainA
resulting from -the construction or maintenance of this higkway; or any dosages resulting to any
property holdings of any Public Utility Goupmyj nor will. the County as m ajW dames resultI
to any coal or other minerals, or water, in and underlying the property affected by this impror
that Washington County will contribute the sum of Seven Thousand ($7,000.00) Dollars toss
the payment of Property Damages; said sum to be paid as follows:
1. $3,500.00 to be paid on or before November 1, 1962
2. $3,500.00 to be paid an or before August 1, 1963
These contributions by Washington County are made with the understanding that payment
will be due and payable only upon certification from the Secretary of HigkVfts that each of the
above listed payments have been expanded by the Department of Highways in the sattlenent of
property damages in connection with the aforesaid improvemens.

Notion by Mr. Cumodus.. seconded by Mr. Massa, that a refund voucher in the
of $2,12 be made payable to John Crew, R. D. 1, Coal Center, Pa.., due to the fact that a detp3.1
payment of taxes was made in re-4maessment on property in Long Branch Borough. Tax on 3 Acres
Surface and 4 rep hse & bldg was paid on July 2, 1959s, in the amount of $7,27 Not. This property
ies,a duplication with 4 ra fr hoe -barn and 6.134 Acres Surface and same was removed by tax
meat on December 31, 1959. Tax payment in the amount of $7.27 was therefore died to 4 rm fr
hoe -barn, 6.134 Acres Surface, this tax amounting to only $5.15, making a refund due of $2.12.
Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorised to prepare said refund voucher in the
amount of $2.12 made payable to John Crow, R. D. 1, Coal Center, Pa.

Motion by Mr. , seconded by Mr. Massa, that the resignation as Wbmitted
by Isabelle Flym, Clerk in the Tax Assessment Office, be accepted effective July 1, 1961.

Board of County Commissioners mt in regular session those present being:
Commissioners Pettit, Cunnine and. Massa.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Massa, that the following resolution of the
Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
to the issue by the said County of a Note for Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars as a

temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board to -wit:
"WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Two Hundred
Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year of 1961,
and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and have been
levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1961; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Wash-
ington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the
County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate
a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have
been levied and to be collected during the year 1961, and so much of said taxes as map be neces-
sary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and
issue a note, therefore, payable October 9, 1961s with interest, from date of said note at the
rate of two and one-fourth (2) per cent per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Coonwealt!
of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and &Moo to pay, said note
to be negotiated and issued as follows:
PITTSBURGH NATIONAL BANK, WASHINGTON$ PENNSYLVANIA.................................$200,004.00

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Massa, that the following resolution per-
taining to the changing of grades; lines; and widths of State Highway Route 62129 located in
Deemston Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania, be adopted:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners of Washington County that the Plans submitted
for the changing of grades; lines; and widths of State Highway Route 62129 Bridge No. 6, Station
196+00 to Station 215+50 in Deematon Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania, have been examinee
by the County Commissioners and they agree that Washington County will not assume liability for
arty property damages resulting from the changing of the above Route as contemplated by these
Plans, or any damages arising out of any changes or alterations of drainage resulting from the
construction or maintenance of this highway, or any damages resulting to any property holdings
of any Public Utility Company, nor will the County assume any damages resulting to any coal or
other minerals, or water, in and underlying the property affected by this improvement; that
Washington County will not contribute toward the payent of Property Damges due to previous
commitments.
