Board of County Commissioners met in regular session those present being: Comm-
issioners Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Helen Kesnowski, be appointed
as a temporary clerk in the Tax Assessment Office for a period of one month; this action to be
effective August 16, 1961. Miss Kesnowski is replacing Miss Wench.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Wilma Kausek, be appointed as
a temporary clerk.in the Tax Assessment Office for a period of one month; this action to be eff
ive August 16, 1961. Miss Kausek is replacing Miss Rozzi.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the County Controller be auth-
orized to advertise for bids for the furnishing and delivering of coal for the Courthouse and
Jail Buildings for the 1961-1962 season. Bids to be received by the County Controller in his
Office in the Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania, until 11:00 a.m., Daylight Saving Time, Fri-
day, September 15, 1961, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commiss-
ioners, Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that a refund voucher in the amount
of $12.90 be made payable to Vincent P. and Santina S. Marino, East Washington, Pennsylvania, dt
to an overpayment of 1961 County Tax. On July 19, 1961, Judge Marino paid $61.59 (Net) for his
1961 County Tax on property situate in East Washington Borough described as 2 story brick house,
garage, Lot 8 Morgan Addition 29-8-46 DB 611 - 302. On July 26, 1961, the tax was reduced to
$51.25 face, $2.56 discount, $48.69 net by tax adjustment no. 2942, thus causing an overpayment
in the amount of $12.90 and a refund due in said amount. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office i
hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $12.90 made payable to Judge
Vincent P. Marino and Santina S., of 504 East Beau Street, East Washington, Pennsylvania.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the
adjourned.
