FRANCIS E. PETTIT, J. BLATCH CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS
as a Janitor at the Office of Civil Defense, for a period of one month. This action to be effec-
tive September 1, 1961. Mr. Napper is working in place of John J. Napper, who is on a leave of
absence.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Washington, Pa., September 15, 1961
Board of County Commissioners in special session for the purpose of opening bids for
furnishing of coal for the 1961-1962 season, for the heating of the Courthouse and County Jail
Building, Washington, Pennsylvania. Those present at this meeting being: Commissioners Pettit,
Cummins, Mazza and Deputy Controller Luketich.
In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were opened
and read.

Washington, Pennsylvania
In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller inviting proposals for
furnishing and delivering coal to heat the Courthouse & Jail at Washington, Pennsylvania, and
having examined the attached specifications and understanding the same, I (or We) submit the
following bid:
$ 6.95 per ton including delivery
$ 5.75 per ton without delivery
A certified check in the sum of $500,00 is herewith enclosed.
