Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $14. be made payable to Joseph & Anna Kopaczewski, 128 R. R. Street, Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, due t an overpayment of 1961 County Tax. On July 19, 1961, Mr. Kopaczewski paid his tax in the amount $14- 55 on property situate in the Borough of Bentleyville, Washington County, Pennsylvania, des- cribed as 1 story frame house - shed valuation $1460, Lot 6O x 120 valuation $35.00. On August 233 1961, this assessed valuation was reduced to $35.00 (house and shed being duplicated with another piece of property) by Tax Adjustment No. 4671. Instead of paying $14-55 the correct amou of tax was $.34 net causing a refund of $14.21. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the mount of $14.21 made payable to Joseph & Anna Kopaczewski, 128 R. R. Street, Bentleyville, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $4. be made payable to Lillian W. Houston, 609 West College Street, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, due to an overpayment of 1961 County Tax. On July 24, 1961, Lillian Houston paid her tax in the amount of $29.41 on property situate in the Borough of Canonsburg, 2nd Ward, Washington County, Pennsyl- vania, described as 2 story brick house - building $2560, Lot 8 $360,00, total assessed valuation $2920.00. On August 15, 1961, this assessed valuation was reduced to $2560.00 and tax to $24.93 by Tax Adjustment No. 3345 making a refund due of $4.48. Therefore, tho Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount -,of $4.48 made payable to Lillian W. On August 28, 1961, this assessed valuation was reduced to $8,700 and tax to $84.72 by Tax Adjustment No. 3912 making a refund due of 43.52. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office i hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $43.52 made payable to Andrew W. Cummins, Law and Finance Building, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $8.76 be made payable to Anthony J. & Ann K. Markovitch, Box 367, Richeyville, Pennsylvania, due to an overpayment of 1961 County Tax. On July 28, 1961, Mr. Markovitch paid his tax in the amount of $29.70 (net) on property situate in the Borough of Centerville, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as 1 story frame house and garage $2430.00, Lot 11 $420,00, total assesse valuation $2850.00. On August 11, 1961, this assessed ialuation was reduced to $2150 and tax to �$20.94 (net) by Tax Adjustment No. 4788 making a refund due of $8.76. Therefore, the Tax Assess- ment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $8.76 made payab to Anthony J. & Ann K. Markovitch, Box 367, Rieheyville, Pennsylvania. . Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount 9 of $.98 be made payable to Anne Balza, 1014 Lower Meadow Avenue, Charleroi, Pennsylvania, due to duplicate payment of occupation tax for the year 1961. On July 17, 1961, Mrs. Balza paid her County Tax including occupation tax in the amount of $22.84 net, on property situate in the_Bor of Charleroi, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as 2 story frame insulated house, fart 32, OnIAugust 29, 1961, by Tax Adjustment No. 3850 the occupation for Mrs. Balza was removed be that it is carried on another plate, therefore making a refund of $.98 due. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount.of $.98 made payable to Anne Balza, 1014 Lower Meadow Avenue, Charkeroi, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $4.85 be made payable to Stephen & Mary Hornack, R. D. 1, Charleroi, Pennsylvania, due to a duplication of payment of Occupation Tax for the years 1959 and 1960. 0n July 8, 1959, Stephen & Mary Hornack paid their 1959 County tax including their Occupation Tax on property situate in Chax leroi Borough; also on July 15, 1959, they paid their County Tax for 1959 on property situate in Fallowfield Township causing a duplicate payment of $2.42 for the occupation tax. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $4.85 (made payable to Stephen & Mary Hornack, R. D. 1, Charleroi, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $2,867.79 be made payable to Corning Glass Works, Corning, New York, due to an overpayment of i1961 County Tax. On July 26, 1961, the Corning Glass Works paid.their tax in the amount of $7,0 INet on property situated in the Borough of Charleroi, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described Structures B 1 to B 39 valuation $692,935.00 and 24 Acres Surface valuation $32,9400.00 total val 95 Lion $725,335.00. On July 29, 1961, Mr. Embert paid his tax in the amount of $39.78 net on property situate in the township of Chartiers, Washington County., Pennsyl- vania., described as 1 story brick house, garage valuation $3,,450-00 Lot 95 valuation $435-00., total valuation $3,885-00. On August 30., 1961, this assessed valuation was reduced to $3,,400.00 and tax to $33.11 by Tax Adjustment No. 3780 thus making a refund due in the amount of $6.67. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $6.67 made payable to Joseph J. & Elaine B. Notion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $14.41 be made payable to Palanka Sportsmen's Assn., 719 North Main Street, Houston., Pennsylvania., due to an overpayment of 1961 County Tax. On July 10, 1961, the Palanka Sportsmen's Assn., paid their tax in the amount of $21.91 Net on property situate in the township of Chartiers, Washington County,, Pennsylvania., described as 1 story.block club building valuation $1,960,00 Plot valuatior $290.00 total valuation $2,250.00. On August 24, 1961, this assessed valuation was reduced to $770.00 and tax to $7.50 by Tax Adjustment No. 4425 thus making a refund due in the amount of M..41. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the I amount of $14.41 made payable to Palanka Sportsmen's Association, 719 North Main Street., Houston,, Pennsylvania, Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $19.47 be made payable to Annetta Harshman.,-R. D. 1, Fredericktown., Pennsylvania,, due to an over- payment of 1961 County Tax. On July 11., 1961, Annetta Harshman paid her tax in the amount.of $5 21 net on property situate in the Borough of Deemston, Washington County., Pennsylvania, described al 12 story frame house - garage valuation $3,210.00 4 Acres surface valuation $360.00 total valuatj $5.,570.00. On August 29, 1961, this assessed valuation was reduced to $3.,570,00 (error made in o kginal valuation in addition) and tax to $35-74 by Tax Adjustment No. 3935 thus making a refund due in tie amount of $19.47. Therefore., the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said voucher in the amount of $19.47 made payable to Annetta Harshman., R. D. 1, Fredericktown, Pennsylvania. On August 1, 1961, Mr. Ross paid his tax in the amount of $40.� net on property situate in the Township of East Bethlehem, Washington County., Pennsylvania., desc- ribed as 2 story frame aluminum house frame garage - valuation $3885-00 Lot 110 - valuation $90.00 total valuation $3975-00. On August 21, 1961, Mr. Tiberi paid his tax in the amount of $24.14 face on property situate in the Borough of Ellsworth, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as 2 story tile house A $955.00 Lot 20 Block K $75.00 1-story frame house $1125.00 total valuatio $2,155.00. On August 29, 1961 this assessed valuation was reduced to $1,980,00 and the tax to $22.35 face by Tax Adjustment No. 3848 thus making a refund due in the mnount of $1.79. There- fore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $1.79, made payable to Pasquale & Rose L. Tiberi, Ellsworth, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $4.33 be made payable to George & Bessie Kearns, R. On July 13, 1961, Mr. Kearns paid his tax in the amount of $23.37 net on property situate in the Township of Hopewell, Washington County, Pennsylvania, described as 2 (story log house valuation $1045.00 1.12.868 acres surface - valuation $1355.00 total valuation $240. On August 28, 1961, this assessed valuation was reduced to $1955.00 and the tax to $19.04 by Tax Adjustment No. 3933 thus making a refund due in the -amount of $4.33. On August 1, 1961, the amour of $340,33 was paid at net on property situate in the 3rd Ward of Monongahela, Washington County, Pennsylvania, assessed in the name of Marino & Grace Natalini, described as 1 story brick buildi,r valuation $26,155 - 1. 74 Acres surface valuation $8,795.00 total valuation $34,950.00. On Augus 22" 1961, this assessed valuation was reduced to $28,640.00 and tax to $278.88 thus making a re- fund due in the amount of $61.45. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $61.45 made payable to Abbott Mortgage Company, Fric jBuilding, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount $4.62 be made payable to Earl J. Romig, 1025 Fourth Street, Monongahela, Pennsylvania, due to an overpayment of occupation tax for the following years in the respective amounts: 1958, 1959, and 1961, $1.22, $1.21, $1.21 and $.98. Said occupation tax was paid by Mr. Romig on June 16, July 8, 1959, June 28, 1960 and August 1, 1961, when he paid his County taxes, the Assessment Offi continued to carry the name of Lucena S. Romig, who died in the year 1957, thus causing duplicate payment in the total amount of $4.62. Therefore, the Tax Assessment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $4.62 made payable to Earl J. Romig, 1025 Fourth Street, Monongahela, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount $1.22 be made payable to Helen D. Hamilton, 504 Marne Avenue, Monongahela, Pennsylvania, due to overpayment of 1960 Occupation Tax. On July 13, 1960, Mrs. Hamilton paid her 1960 County Tax in the amount of $46.82 which included occupation tax for herself and her husband. Mr. Hamilton di., on April 17, 1959. Therefore, a refund in the amount of $1.22 is due Mrs. Hamilton. The Tax As. ment Office is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $1.22 made paya to Mrs. Helen D. Hamilton, 504 Marne Avenue, Monongahela, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $8.43 be made payable to Mary Michaux, c/o Mary Hamerick, 209 East Lincoln Street, McDonald, Pennsylvania, due to an overpayment of 1961 County Tax.
