BLATCH CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS Board of County Commissioners met in regular session those present being: Commiss- ioners Pettit, Cummins, Mazza, Attorney hormell., Reporters Crouse and Merdian. A general discussion concerning County plans for changes involving the two Was County Homes (Home for Aged Women and Home and Hospital for Men) and the need for construction of new facilities. No definite plans were made. The discussion was merely to clarify certain probl which have been pending for a number of years. The Pennsylvania Economy League expected to make a survey. The possibility of adding an additional 400 foot runway extension at the Washington County Airport was discussed. The proposal would extend the current 3,600 foot runway westward. Advantage of a 4,000 foot runway would make it possible for heavier industrial ai to land and lead to enlarging traffic at the Washington County Airport. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr.'Cummins., that the meeting be adjo&ned. W. McCaskey. Mr. Pettit, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, read a resolution which passed by the Washington County Association of Township Officials urging consideration of establish- ment of a labor-management council in Washington County. R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N "WHMEAS, Washington County is noted for its excellent labor-management relations to the great benefit of the people of the County, and WHEREAS, the continuance of such good relations may be furthered and strengthened by the services and advice of a labor management advisory council, proven successful in other conm«,­ unities, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Commissioners of Washington County take under consideration the advisability of the formation of a labor management council representative of labor,, management and the public., to stress the excellent lahor management condition existing in the County and to aid in the furtherance thereof by rendering assistance when requested." The above resolution was one of 15 passed at the 46th annual convention. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Yx. Pettit, that the following resolution be adopted to demolish building situate in East Bethlehem Township,, Washington County, Pennsylvania. BE IT RESOLVED, that by reason of notice from East Bethlehem Township,, Board of Commissioners, and by report of the Tax Claim Bureau., Appraisal Agent Mr. Andrew J.
