Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Judy Toth be appointed as a !in the Tax Assessment Office, effective November 8., 1961. ;Kelly. Motion carried unanimously. Mr, Chairman: Miss Toth is a replacement for Mr. Mazza asked that the following comments of his be recorded in the minutes. We have received a wonderful opportunity to get a real bargain at the airport. We have a chance to get 400 additional feet of runway and additional hangar space for the same unit ;price that was bid by the lowest bidder., Indyk Construction Company. We reserved the right in the !contracts to make supplemental agreements and 400 more feet of runway would give our County a big ladvantage in attracting industry and getting more use of our airport by the industry we presently have. Several business and industrial concerns have offered to make sizable contrib itoward the cost if we do this., and I feel we will never get an opportunity like this again. Therefore, I move that we take advantage of this offer and that we agree to co ;with the business and industry of our County by signing a supplemental agreement for 400 addi !feet of runway and providing for more hangar space at the airport at the same unit price that was (bid by the lowest bidder., providing that the entire cost will not exceed the sum of $24,700.00.
