Motion by Mr. hazza,, seconded by Mr. Pettit.,that the Court be petitioned to open
the ballot box in the 3rd Ward of Chartiers Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion carried unanimously.

Board of County Commissioners met in special session at 1:30 P.M., (the schedule
1hour for this meeting was 11:00 A.M., but due to a Pris6n Board Meeting, it was necessary to post.
:pone the meeting until 1:30 P.M.), for the purpose of awarding the contract for the construction

,of the Wallace Lane Bridge over Chartiers Creek, Canton Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania;
land the Woodland Avenue Bridge over Chartiers Creek, City of Washington, Washington County, Penn-
sylvania. Bids were opened on November 10, 1961, and tabled. Those present at this meeting be
Commissioners Pettit Cummins, Mazza, Controller Elish and Attorney Eormell.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Dagnall Construction Company,
1480 Maplewood Drive, Canonsburg., Pennsylvania, being the lowest bidder be awarded the contract for
,the construction of the Wallace Lane Bridge over Chartiers Creek, Canton Township, Washington Couity.,
Pennsylvania., and the Woodland Avenue Bridge over Chartiers Creek, City of Washington, Washington
county, Pennsylvania, in accordance with their bid of $22.,525.34 (Wallace Lane) and $45,872.48
(Woodland Avenue) or a total amount of $68,397-82.
Motion carried unanimously with Mr. Elish leaving the meeting.
Motion by Mr. Cummins,, seconded by Mr. Mazza., that H. W. Minnemeyer III., be appo nted
the Executive Director of Washington County Civil Defense, Account No. 517; this action to be effictive
October 1, 1961. Mr. Minnemeyer has been Director for a number of years but without compensa
