The meeting was opened and called to order at 10:00 a.m., by the Chairman of the Board
being that there was no business to come before the Board, a motion was made by Mr. Mazza, se
by Mr. Cummins., that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion carried unanimously.

Board of County -Commissioners met in special session with the Soil Conservation Board
with the following being present: Commissioners Pettit., Cummins,, Mazza and the representatives o
approved county -wide agricultural organizations. All farm organizations had been notified of
meeting for the election of a Director to the Soil Conservation Board.
It was the unanimous recommendation of the following county -wide agricultural organi
tions: Washington County Farm Bureau Cooperative Ass'n., Washington County Holstein Breeders Ass'n.,
Federal Land. Bank and Production Credit Assn., Washington County Artificial Breeding Cooperative5
and the Washington County Poultry Association that Albert Miller be re -appointed as Director of the
Soil Conservation Board for a four (4) year term.
Motion by James A. McGugin, Secretary of the Washington County Farm Bureau'Cooperative
Ass'n., seconded by Mr. Cummins., that Albert Miller., R. D. 2,, Avella., Pennsylvania., be re-appo
as Director of the Soil Conservation Board for a four (4) year term; this action to be effective
January 1, 1962.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza., that Francis E. Pettit, be appointed as
(Commissioner member of the Soil Conservation Board for a term of one year.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time,, the meeting ad-
journed.
