Also present were: Acting Solicitor Hormall, Mr. NoCaskey and Reporters Crouse and Mardian. a Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that due to the emergency wd.sting in the i Boiler Room caused by the bre";wn of two controls of the heating system for the Courthouse and i adjoining County buildings, it is necessary to purchase two armature resistance regulators from i Cutler -Hammer Company, 2240 Noblestown Road, Pittsburgh 5, Pennsylvania, being the only company j kn*v n to asks this particular type of control, also that the services of Robert W. Sterrick, 3 electrical engineer, of Washington, Pennsylvania, be retained to help with the installation of i said purchase. i Motion carried unanimously. i Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Clummins, that the County Controller be authorized j to transfer the an of $22,956.25 from the Liquid Fuels Fund to the Liquid Fuels Sinking a Motion carried unanimously. THE FOREGOING MINUTE DYAD AND APPROVEt i NO. 212 I I , Office of the County Commissioners o s Washington, Pa., January 2, 1962 Board of County Commissioners met in special session with the following members being present: Commissioners Pettit, Coins and Mazza. Also present being: Acting Solicitor Mr. McCaskey, Reporters Crouse and Mardian. + Meeting called to order for the purpose of re -organizing. Motion by Mr. Cummins,, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Francis E. Pettit, be elected Chas of the Board of County Commissioners for both the General Fund and the institution District for year of 1962. The General Fund and the Institution District were combined into one district this E 1 year. Motion carried unanimusly. Blotch Cumminst be elected of the Board of County Commissioners for the year of 1962, Motion carried unanimously, Mr. Pettit expressed his appreciation to the ether two members of the Board in him as Chairman of the Board for the year of 1962.. Motion by Mr. Cummins.. seconded, by Mr. Pettit, that Harvey Stuart be appointed as Clerk to the County Commissioners for the year of 1962. Motion carried viumirAmly. Motion by Mr, Cummins,, secohdod by Mr. Pettit, that Vincent R. Massock, be appointed ash County Solicitor for the year of 1962. Remarks: Mr. Mazzat I want to knew if Mr. Massock is going to give us his full legal time at our Board meetings, If he is not, then I will not vote for him. Mr. Pettitt Mhether or not Mr. Masseck gives us the proper time can only be determined after a period of time. Motion carried unanimously, Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Oliver H. Hermell., be retained as assistant solicitor for the Tag Claim Bureau for the year of 1962, with the approval of the County Solicitor, Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cumdw, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that August L. Sisxondo, be retained as assistant solicitor for the Tax Claim Bureau for the year of 1962, with the approval of the County Solicitor. Motion by Mr, Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that all of the County Cismissioner employees that were employed at the close of the year 1961 be re -hired effective today, January 2n1, on a temporary basis. (Following a general discussion among the Commissioners., the above motion was revised to read as follows). Motion by Nr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that all of the County Commissioner emm- ployees that were employed at the alone of the year 1961 be re -hired effective today.. January until such time as the Salary loard shall revise the salary schedule so far -as it shall doom action necessary. Motion carried manimously, Motion by Mr. Cummins.. seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Radio Station WJP,i be re -appointed the official radio station for Washington County. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Jack Mardian, be re -appointed as the Public Relations Adviser to the Washington County 0overnment. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the regular meetings be scheduled for Monday and Friday at 10t00 a.m. Motion carried unanimously,
