BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
FFRANCIS E. PETTIT, J. BLATCH CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS
for the General Primary Election to be held on Tuesda4y3, May 15, 1962; bids were opened, read and
tabled on March 19,. 1962.-
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr, piazza, that the contract for the furnishing
and delivering of election supplies to the Office of the County Commissioners for the conducting
of the General Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, May 15, 1962, be awarded to the WILLIM
JOHNSTON COMPANY, P. 0. BOX 6759, PITTSBURGH 12, PENNSYLVANIA, for the total sum of $1.975.00;
being the lowest and only bid received.
Motion carried unanimously,
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the contract for the printing
and delivering of the necessary ballots to the Office of the County Commissioners for the con-
ducting of the General Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, May 15, 1962, be awarded to the
MONONGAHELA PUBLISHING COMPANY, MONONGAHEIA, PENNSYLVANIA, and the WJW PRINTING COMPANY, WASH-
INGTON, PENNSYLVANIA, for the prices as set forth in their joint bid; this being the lowest and
only bid received.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr, Mazza, that the contract for the delivering
of ballot boxes to the Judges of Election for the one hundred eighty-eight (188) precincts of
Washington County, for the General Primary Election to be held on May 15, 1962, be awarded to
T. M. BEDILLION, R. D. 4s. WASHINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA, for the sum of $800.00; this being the to
and only bid received.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins.. seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be auth-
orized to advertise for the excavation of 15,000 cubic yards of a waste pile on property of
Majewski and placing this maternal in fill on property of Patsch Bros. and Zeman & Zeman, also
the placing of 18 lineal feet of 24 inch reinforced concrete pipe on property of West Penn Poorer
Company. Bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office ,in the Courthouse, Washing-
ton., Pennsylvania, until 11,00 a.m., Friday., April 33, 1962, Eastern Standard Time, and opened
immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners. The project being done in
cornmection with the Flood Control Project of Chartiers Creek,
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr, Cummins, that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion carried unanimously.
