also shall be reviewed.

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following employee be hired in
Tax Claim Bureau, as of date indicated:
John Smith - rehired - March 26, 1962
and that on July 31, 1962s the budget shall be reviewed and the work in the Tar Claim Bureau also'.

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr, Massa, that Janet G. LaVelle, be employed as a
Secretary for the Washington County Planning Commission; this action to be effective April 2,

Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with,the following members being
present: Commissioners Pettit, Cun ins and Mazza. also present being: County Solicitor
Tar Claim Bureau Solicitor Hormell and Reporter Crouse.
A meeting entitled *Mon -Valley Mau Power Conference" is being held at the West Penn
District Office located on Coyle -Curtin Road, Carroll Township, on Monday, April 9, 1962, with
reference to the Manpower Development and Training Act which was recently vigned by President
Kennedy. A representative from the County Commissioner's Office will be present;
Letter from Beall & Parkins, Architects, addressed,to Eduard R. Koch, re extra
and repair cost to the Washington County Home and Hospital for Men, was referred to the Solicitor'
Office, for filing at this time only.
Motion by Mr. Cuimains, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that in accordance with bur Minute of
January 22, 19620 which is still in.full force and effect that.we obtain from the Pittsburgh
(National. Bank the sum of $200,000.00. -

Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars, on or before December 31, 1962, with interest from
date on the ur4xid principal balance hereof from time to time outstanding at the rate of two and

one -quarter per centum (2) per annum, with interest payments to be made on the first day of

, each calendar quarter throughout the year.
Payment of the indebtedness evidenced hereby may be anticipated in whole or in part at

to transfer the sum of $10,000.00 from the General Fund to the Redevelopment ,Authority Account,
-(Redevelopment.Authority of the County of Washington).

,ized to prepare tax refund vouchers for the following reasons: either d4lication or the -overpay
i ment of real estate or occupation tax.

On July 27, 1961, the amount of $11.25 was paid for 1961 County Tax on property sit-
uate in Robinson Township (including $300.00 for occupation). Two of the occupation
I were removed by tax adjustment no, 3268. The tax was reduced to $9.30 making a re-
fund due in the amount of $1e95.

Property situate in Robinson Township, valuation $4460. On August 1, 1961, the
amount of WJ8 was paid for 1961 County Tax, Valuation was reduced to $4070.00
by Tax Adjustment No. 3434 and the tax to $41.58, making a refund due in the
amount of $3.80.

Property situate in Robinson Township, valuation $3490. on July 26, 1961, the
amount of $35.93 was paid for 1961 County Tax. V aluation was reduced $2900.00 by

of $5.74..

due in the amount of 3.71.

1961, the amount of $42.11 was paid for 1961 County Tax, Valuation was reduced
to $3750.00 by Tax Adjustment No. 4809 and tax to $36.52, making a refund due
in the amount of $5.59.

$13,88 was paid for 1961 County Tax. Valuation was reduced to $390.00 by Tax
Adjustment No. 2765 and tax to $4.77, making a refund due in the amount of $9.11.

due in the amount of $1.31.

amount of $28.73 was paid for 1961 County Tax, Valuation was reduced to $2500.00
by Tax Adjustment No. 3429 and tax to $26,30 , making a refund due in the amount
of $2.43.

1961, the amount of $.98 was paid for 1961 County Tax, Tax Adjustment No. 4882 she
this property removed for reason of duplication thtLs making a refund in -the amount
of $.98 due.
11. Ethel Plants McGill, 373 Burton Avenue, Washington, Pa. Refund due to duplication
of property. Property situate in East Finley Township, $150.00 valuation. On
August 7, 1961, the amount of $1.54 was paid for 1961 County Tax. Correction slip
dated February 2, 1962s shows that the lot was duplicated and removed. Being that
a portion of the tax paid ($1.03) was applied to another piece of property, the
amount to be refunded is $.51.

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the resignation as submitted by
Irene A. Hammond, employee of the cleaning staff, be accepted effective the 1st day of April,

Letter dated January 31, 1961, from the late Solicitor Frank J. Docktor (former County
Solicitor) addressed to Borough Council, Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, was referred to the Solicit
Office. Subject of letter being the removal of bridge structure on Somerset Township Road 511,
adjacent to limited access highway L.R. 62052.
Mr. Costa and Mr. DiNardo left the meeting and Attorneys Finder and Wiley entered.
County Solicitor Massock requested both Atty. Sanford S. Finder and Atty. John F.
to furnish the Solicitor's Office with a memo on any additional legal costs (present and future)
and expenses to complete the Chartiers Creek Flood Control Project work, as a result of extra
