E3LATr-H CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS contemplated patments toward this project. Atty. Wiley informed the,Board that he would schedule a Qonference.for the latter part of next week (April 9th) with I. C. Bloom, Esq., Sanford'S. Finder, Esq., and Vincent R. Massock, Esq., County Solicitor, in connection with the Chartiers Creek Flood Control Project. Attorneys Finder and Wiley left the meeting at this time. Motion by Mr. Pettit., seconded by Mr*-,,.XAzza, that Minute Nos..211, 212., 213,, 214., 214-A., 215.9 216,, 2171 2180 219., 220, 221, 222., 223., 224., 225, 226,, 227., 228., 229., 230,, 231., 232, 233, 234p 235., 236,, 237., 2382 239,240., 241., 242, 243, and 244 were read and approved. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. P4pttit., seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried unanimously. Also present being: Reporter Crouse. During the meeting the Board revealed that it had toured C(?unty property adjacent to the Washington County Home for Women with officials of the Industrial Electric Company, Inc.., and were proceeding with plans to sell 3.8 acres to the company for a proposed industrial structue Motion by.Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza., that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried unanimously, THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: 1962 C/ ATTEST: CHIEF &1ERX NO. 247 Office of the County Commissioners Washington., Pa,., April 13., 1962 Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members being present: Commissioners Pettit., Cummins and Mazza. Also present being: Tax Claim Bureau Solicitsr I Hormell, Reporters Crouse and Merdian, Mr, Murdoch., Bookkeeper of the Controller's Office and various representatives of firms bidding on the excavating of waste material on the,Majewski property and placing of a fill,on the Patsch & Zeman and Zeman property; placing of a 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe on the right-of-way of the West Penn Power property., were also present for the purpose of opening bids for said project. BLATCH CUMMINS, aJOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS law did not specify that either the Controller or his deputy should be present at the time of opening bids. Mr. Hormell replied that the law requires the presence of either the Controller or his deputy. Mr. Murdoch said that Mr. Elish was unable to attend the meeting at the scheduled hour and the deputy, Bernard Luketich, was unable to be present due to illness, and that he, Mr. Murdoch, had been appointed as acting deputy for the purpose of opening bids by Mr. Elish. Mr. Hormell inquired if his salary had been adjusted to that of Mr. Luketich. Mr. Murdoch replied no. It was advised, by Mr. Hormell, that the Controller's office furnish the Commissioners with a letter confirming the appointment of Mr. Murdoch as Acting Deputy, and the bids could be opened at this time.
