MINUTE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS �s,a & AI�NW WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYL'VANIA FRANCIS E. PETTIT, J. BLATCH CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS A study of the heating system. of the Courthouse was made by Consolidation Coal Company and the following (REPORT ON E=MCNT AND FUEL COSTS FOR A NEW CAI. Mr. Pettit stated that this change could be made as part of the renovation of the Courthouse building. Motion by Mr. Massa, seconded by Mr. Cmmiwv that the meeting be adjourned, Notion carried unanimously. Group of taxpayers from North Strabane TownaUp entered the meeting at this time concern" ing the changing of the boundary lines of North Strabane, Nottingham and Peters Townships. Mr. Massock advised the group that the Counissioners could make boundary line changes unless there is a Court Order. Therefore, they should petition the Court requesting such changes. It was Sugge that the township solicitor prepare an agreement between those townships involved or stipulate a t of facts or a petition with the Ce A�should be filed requesting the changes* The Comissioners instructed the Solicitor's Office to direct a letter to the supervisors of both townships advising them of this meeting and what procedure could be followed. The group left the meeting at this time. Motion by Mr. Cumains., seconded by Mr. Massa, that our Drafting Department be instructed to prepare copies of maps of the Claysvillle and Amity quadrangles without charge, as requested by the Department of Internal Affairs, Bureau of Topographic & @eologic Survey. Notion carried unanimously, Motion by Mrjr Cmmm.ins, seconded by Nir. Massa, ' that a letter be forwarded to the. County Controller's Office requesting his office to'conduct an investigation'of the Surplus Food Department. Letter is on file in the Chief Clerk's Office and the Sblicitorrts Office. Motion carried unanimously. At this time Robert Conaway of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington entered the meeting. A general discussion was held concerning the Watershed Work P3.sn - Harman Creek WatersheA. NKr. Conaway showed the Beard a report on the project which was prepared by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service. It was suggested that Mr. McAmbley meet with the Board and Solicitor Massock to discuss this project further. Mr. Conaway left the meeting. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr: CmsdrAp Mat the County Commissioners hire the services of George Ruscitto and Stephen Charis, Architects and Engineers, Investment Building, Pittsburgh 22, Pennsylvania, to prepare preliminary drawings, report and recommendations and cost estimate for the renovation of the Washington County Jail.
