On August 1, 1961 the amount of $26.76 was paid for 1%1 County Tax,
tax adjustment no. 2557 reduced the valuation to $2160.00 and tax to
$22.98, making a refund due in the amount of $3.80.
Motion carried.
Articles of Agreement between Washington County and Allegheny County Work muse and
Inebriate Asylum at Parkview, (Post Office, Pittsburgh 38, Pennsylvania) was signed by the 'bounty
Commissioners. This is a semi-annual contract (six month period commencing July 1, 1%2 and
ending December 31, 1962 covering the boarding of prisoners at saidnfi s,titution.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the following persons be employed
as temporary employees of the Tax Assessment Office. Effective date and length of employment
indicated opposite each acme.
Edward Gray, July 16, 1962 - period of 30 day employment
Clifton Morris, July 17, 1962 - period of 2 week employment
Frank Chaslulik, July 19, 1962 - period of 30 day employment
William Anderson, July 23, 1962 - period of 30 day employment
Carol Pieezarka, July 17, 1962 - period of 30 day employment
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Hazel Easterbrook be appointed as a
cleaning woman, effective the 16th day of July, 1962.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Rudolph Likovich, be appointed as
an assistant engineer replacing Robert Polan at the Washington County Home and Hospital for bean,_
this action to be effective July 17, 1962.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that John Koval, be appointed as an
orderly replacing Victor Laird at the Washington County Home and Hospital for Men; this action
to be effective July 16, 1%2.

Board of County Commissioners met in special session at 11:00 a.m., for the purpose
of opening bids for the general construction work for the barn and equipment storage building
to be located on county property at the Washington County name and Hospital for Men, Arden,
Washington County, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Cummins
and Mazza. Also present being: Controller Elish, Tax Claim Bureau Solicitor Hornell, Mr. Beall
of Beall and Parkins, Architects, Reporter Crouse and representatives from some.of the companies
who placed bids on said project.
Following bids for the general construction of the barn and equipment storage builm
ing were opened and read by Controller Elish.
