Board of County Commissioners met in special session for the purpose of opening bids

for the furnishing and delivering of the necessary ballots, election supplies and ballot boxes
required for the conducting of the Municipal November Election to be held on Tuesday. November
6, 1962. Those present being: Commissioners Pettit, Mazza, Controller Elish, Tax Claim Bureau
a
(Solicitor Hormell and bidders.
In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement the following bids were opened and
read:

In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller inviting proposals for
printing and delivering to the Office of the County Commissioners the necessary ballots.for the
conduct of the Municipal November Election to be held Tuesday, November 6, 1962. having examined
the attached specifications and understanding the same, I (or tie) propose to furnish said ballots
in accordance therewith at the prices set forth:
Approximately 115,000 regular white official ballots
price per thousand for ballots furnished. $ 42.50
jApproximateiy 23,000 pink official specimen ballots for
election districts
;price per thousand for ballots furnished. $ 23.50
1 Approximately 200 regular bule absentee ballots and as per
(specification as hereinafter set forth
1price per lot for ballots furnished. $285.00
;Approximately 200 regular white official military ballots
land as per specifications as hereinafter set forth
!price per lot for ballots furnished. $285.00
dSeven single sets for specimen ballots as set forth in
jattached specifications
!price per seven sets. $104.00
3 For printing, binding and delivering any re -run of a ballot
of any election district because of error on the part of any
1county employee
11inimum charge per district for re -run 100 ballots or less $ 8.25
Charge per 100 re -run ballots for same district in addition
to minimum charge. $ 3.75

A certified check in the amount of $500.00 is enclosed herewith as evidence that the
bidder will accept same and carry out the conditions of the contract in case of award.

In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller inviting proposals for
the furnishing and delivering to the Office of the County Commissioners election supplies to
include computing books, the required quantity of military envelopes and instruction sheets
(the quantity to be determined by the size of election district), tally sheets, general return
sheets, envelopes, numbered lists of voters, voter's certificates, Election Officer's Manual$.
etc., required for use by the election officers at the Municipal November Election to be held
Tuesday, November 6. 1962, having examined the attached specifications and understanding the
same, I (or We) propose to furnish these supplies in accordance therewith, for the sum of

A certified check in the amount of $100.00 is enclosed, herewith made payable to Wash-
ington County Commissioners, as evidence that the bidder will accept some and carry out the cow
editions of the contraet`in case of award.
