Also present being Reporter Crouse, Mr. Parkins, Architect from the firm, Beall & Parkins, was present at this meeting to discuss which projects are eligible for aid under the Public Works Act. Following six projects to be submitted for approval. 1. Courthouse (Remodeling and repairs - most of the plans, drawings, etc., are prepared.) 2. Jail - (Remodeling and repairs - most of the plans, drawings, etc., are prepared.) •3.• Bridge (Van Eman - Peters Township - plans prepared). 4. County Home and Hospital for Men (additional space - plans prepared). 5. Amex for Home for Aged Women. 6. Office Building (include rooms for agricultural offices, library - most of the plans are copplete - possibility of a city -county building). Mr. Amanati presented a letter to the Board received from the Middle Department Association of Fire Underwriters dated September 27, 1962, requesting that recommendations be complied with for the re -rating of all County owned buildings to qualify the fire insurance for the public and institutional property plan coverage,* Following matters brought to the attention of the Board by Mr. Pettit. 1. Letter from Charles E. Bradshaw requesting that the restoration of all strip amine lands of Washington County be included as one of the projects to be submitted for aid under the Public Works Act. 2. In connection with the Chartiers Creek Flood Control Project in the Chartiers, Canonsburg -Houston area. A meeting with representatives from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, representatives from the Chartiers, Canonsburg-Houst+aet area and Maurice K.
