Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that due to the President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, visiting Washington County on Saturday.. October 13, 1962, the Courthouse; shall be closed. Motion carried. - Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the meeting be recessed until Monday, October 15, 1962, at 10:00 a.m. Motion carried. Chief C�,�t'x ' N0. 290 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., October 15, 1962 The recessed meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was called to order by the Chairman of the Board. This meeting being a continuation of the meeting which was held on October 8th and at that time recessed, a continuation of said meeting was held on October nth at which time it was recessed until this date, Monday, October 15th, 1962. The following members being present: Commissioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza. Also present.being Reporter Crouse. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that in accordance with the letter received from, East Bethlehem Township Commissioners,, East Bethlehem Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, that the following changes be made on their County Aid application which the Board of County Commissioners approved on September 7, 1962, in the amount of $2,000.00. IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, that the following changes be made on the County Aid application of East Bethlehem Township, Washington County, Penn-, sylvania, which was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on September 7, 1962. That the length of Market Street be shortened from 825 feet to 380 feet, and That the length of Bethlehem Street be shortened from .375 feet to 280 feet, changing the total amount of feet to be resurfaced from 1200 feet to 660 feet. Reason the above change being made is due to the fact that the State Highway Department of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, upon checking said project, advised the Township Commiss- ioners that the project as approved on September 7, 1962, would exceed the amount of $2,000.00. Motion carried unanimously and the Chief Clerk's Office directed to mail four copiers of the above motion to Mr. Gorman of the State Highwgy Department, Tax Claim Bureau Solicitor Hormell and Reporter Merdian at this time entered the leeetiiig • Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Helen Dick be appointed as a temporary employee at the Washington County Home for Aged Women, this action to be effective
