That the filing of an application by the applicant for an advance of funds from the United States of America to enable it to defray the cost of the surveys and plans for an urban renewal project in the proposed Urban Renewal Area described above is hereby approved, Motion carried unanimously, Motion by Mr. Cummins,, seconded by Mr, Mlazza, that the meeting be adjourned, Motion carried unanimusly# :I, iW� • t OU I `t` t , t "tt i Olt NO. 260 . Office of the County ssionsra itashingtsn, Pa., May 28, 1962 Board of County Commissioners not in regular session with the following mnibers being present: Commissioners Pettit, Cvmmkt= and Mazza.. Also present being: Solicitor Massoek, Letter received from N. G. Bell, District inginser, informing the Board that the Donora Webster Bridge (formerly a joint county bridge - Washington and its reland) has been taken over by. the Pennsylvania Department of Highways on May 1, 1962, for future maintenance, Solleitores Office to write for clarification on the responsibility for the energizing of the bridge lighting system. Letters received from H. E. Coder,, M.D., Director, Division of Tuberculosis Control,. were referred to the Ems for .Aged Vmm and the Home and Hospital for lisp for reply, Subject matter of both letters: Chest X-ray survey which was conducted by the Division of Tuberculosis Control on April 5th and 6th, 1962. Motion by Mr* Cummins., seconded by Mr. Mazza, that we emiploy and commission the firm of Beall & Perkins,, Registered Architects, of Washington, Pennsylvania, to investigate and make a report to us of the condition of the present heating and ventilating systems of the Court- house and Jail Buildings and to submdt a written report and roc tion after such sturdy is made. This study to be conducted by the Architects prior to the of any plans anti specifications for the alterations to the present heating system or a new wyeten, except that which may be necessary to study and determine a definite procedure, and papment for such special services shall be on the same basis as extra services..referred to in the Architect's Contract of February 39, 1960, for Alterations to the Couitg Cowthemse Building. The Architoets will be retained for WV approved changes in the present heating system or a new wynten at"'tw the said recommendations are accepted and approved. The Architects are hereby authorized to prepare a Contract at this time for the conditions stated herein and subodt same to this offieat for ourand signatures. Motion carried unanimously.
