Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with 09 fb2lewing ambers being
present: Commissioners Pettit and Mazza, Also present being Reporters Crouse and Merdian.
Mr. Pettit reported on the State and Local Welfare Consission meeting which he and
assistant solicitor Horamell attended in Harristurg on June 1.29, 1962. +
It was pointed out that House Bill No. 10606, which has passed the House, will increase
Federal grants to fourth-class counties. The counties may have to surrender their Child Welfare
Services or take over the Departmnt of Pablic Assintanie. Literature and information pertaining
to this meeting on file in the Solicitor's Department, also in the Chief Clerk's Office.

Motion by Mr. Massa, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the meeting be adjourned,

Motion by Mr. Massa, seconded by Mr, s, that the deed fran Washington County to
Charles E. Hackney for an undivided one -eighth interest in 67 acres, 16 perches of coal i.n Rant
Notion carried usly.
Motion by Mr. Massa, seconded by Mr. Owaines that Washington Cowty hereby grants the
DagnaGll Construction Co%my,, Canonsburg, Pennsylvsarriia, a right of eatry over and as"" a certain
right of way which Robert C. Beatty, at uc, granted to it in connection with the Chartiers Creek
Flood Control Project for the purpose and for the period necessary to cosmplete construction. of the►
new Wallace Lane Bridge in accordance with their contract with, the County.
Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Mr. Massa, seconded by Mr. Cwpmins, that all pqrshasing be -withheld until such
tip as the Controller's Office furnishes the Commissioners with an up to dafia report on
expeat-
itures for all offices, except those daily items that are ne_p"eary for - the efficient operation o:P
the respective. offices.
Motion carried unanimously with Mr. Minh and Mr. Pardoeh leaving the meeting.
