Board of County Coanissioners met in regular session with the following peukers
being presents Condesioners Pettit, and Nazza. Also present being County Solicitor
Bormell,- Talc Claim Bureau SoMdtor Yablonski and Xr. Bradshaw.
Letter received from John R. Wainar, Administrative Assistant to Ciongressnan
Thomas E. Morgan, in regard to the possibility of Washington County receiving the Federal Food
Stomp Program. Nr. Weiner stated that he is meeting with the proper authorities and will notify
the County Commissioners if he receives an encouraging answer.
.Motion by Mr. Cuanins.. seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the letter of resignation as
submitted by J. Harold Chaff, Assistant Engineer and Surveyor, be accepted effective December
31, 1962.
Motion carried unanimusly.
Mr. Makabley entered the meeting at this tiara and discussed the Courthouse projell
having Public Marks Aid. It was exPlaitsed that it will, be necessary for the County to pass a
resolution obligating Washington County to float a bond issue approximately in the smount of
$319,000.00 ( total Courthouse project approximately $65oomo0).
Mr. Pettit stated that it weald be advisable to most with the three JOges, being

that this alteration or construction will affect their offices more than the Offices of the County
