Continuation of the regular meeting which was recessed on December 14p
1962. Those present at this meeting being: Commissioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza. Also pre-
sent being: County Solicitor Hornell and Controller Elfish.
Motions by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Washington County
purchase a 1962 Ford Falcon Station Wagon, because of an emergency, the existing equipment not
able to carry the load.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, peconded by Mr. Mazza, that the meeting be recessed
until Friday, December 21, 1962, at lO:OO a.m., or sooner at the call of the Chairman.
Motion carried unanimously.

Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following
members being present: Commissioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza. Also present being: Solicitor
Hornell, Reporter Crouse and Mr. Bradshaw.
Motion by Mr,, Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cumimins., that the County Solicitor
be authorized and directed to sign the Stipulation on the Appeals of Assessment by the Consoli-
dation Coal Company and Mathias Coal Company, prompted by the Supreme Court case setting forth
the rule as to what is machinery and therefore exempt from assessment.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the application for
County Aid from liquid Fuels Tau Funds, as submitted by Cecil Township, Washington County, Penn-
sylvania, be approved in the amount of $2,000.00, contingent on approval by the Department of
Highways. This amount to be used for improvements in said Township, as outlined in their appli-
cation which is on file in the Engineer's Office.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the application for
County Aid from liquid Fuels Tax Funds, as submitted by Smith Township, Washington County, Penn-

sylvania, be approved in the amount of $5,000.00, contingent on approval by the Department of
