Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the meeting be recessed until Friday, December 28, 1962, at 10s00 a.m., or sooner, at the call of the C aairmon. Motion carried unanimously. - THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND AFFROVEHt r AfiTE3TsC NO. 310 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., December 28, 1962 Board of County Coesnissioners-met in regular session with the following members being presents -Commissioners Pettit, Cundns and Mazza. Also present beings Solicitor Hornell, Reporters Crouse and Merdian and Mr. Bradshaw, The following subjects were discussed by the Board of Commissioners but no official action taken at this particular tine. 1. Proposed flood control project known as OChartiere Creek Basin* at Canonsburg and Houston, Pennsylvania, 2. Remodeling of the Courthouse, (this involves the application under the Federal Public Works Program) - Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the letter of resignation as submitted by Paul J. Pettit, Chief County Engineer, be accepted effective the 16th day of December, 1962. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Paul Patterson be appointed as an orderly at the Washington County Home and Hospital for Men; this action to be effective Dec- ember 18, 1962.- Mr. Patterson is replacing Robert Thomas. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following in accordance with the provisions of the Amendment to the Constitution (Resolution entitled Quadruplicate Amputees and Paraplegic Veterans Tax Exemptions) incorporated in Minute No. 279 dated September 7, 1962, is hereby exempt from County taxes assessed against him for the property indicated opposite his name, to the extent of percentage indicated.
