Motion carried unasly. Motion by Mr. , seconded by Mr, Pettit, that Gladys Hichak be appointed as a nurse at the Washington County Hems for ;Aged Wim en, this action to be effective March 16, 1963. Lbssureau, Jr„ Peter Pelites and Bepetter Crouse, Meeting eaU" to order, by Chairman of t�s Board, Francis L Pettit, County Solicitor Herman remarked on an article vhich appeared in this amorningIs paper concaving tax card notices, It was stated that there would.be some difficulty in getting tax notices out on time and that the contract for ';he printing and delivering of tau cards is ordinarily awarded xach earlier in the year, (Mr, .Horsmell statoo�( that the dates of previous years for the printing and delivering of tax cards). The contract was warded earlier this year than before, but regardless of the fact, Mar, Hornell advised the Hoard that these notices should go out on timme. Mr. Massa stated that the printer should be notified to make sure the tax card notices are delivered to the Tax Assessment Office on time. This lsno should definitely Us cleared vp once and for all and the people ahead d not have to lose the period which they have to take advantage of the five per cent discount for preempt payment of tames. Mr, Lhoarean advised tbo Commissioners that his office was prepared to start immediately on its phase of the tax card preparation as soon as the cards are available. Ere Hornell presented.a letter from Mr, Bradshaw to the Board in which he raises several questions concerning the 1963 Budget which is scheduled for final adoption: on Mondays April 80 1963. Mr. Crowell stated that the Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Pl Comais Rn is considering taking over the Pittsburgh area transportation study which could possibly expand Into Washington County. Mr. Mazza stated that he would make a recommendation at the next meeting of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Planning Commission. Attorney Stephen Richman requested permission to examine and make copies if necessary of any pertinent papers or records on the proposal of Washington CousW to lease storage facilities for its surplus foxed. program. This request was greeted by the Commissioners without. objection. Mr. Pettit allted that the County Ceeead.ssioners made. a motion at the Beard's regular meeting on March 22, 1963, to entst into as agreement with John itieellela of 9 ., A Pennsylvania, for the rental of a warehouse for the storage of surplus food. Motion by Mr. Mesaas seconded by Mr. Cumminsp that the meeting io recessed until Manday, April 8, 1963s for the purpose of adopting the 1963 Budget.
