THE FbRIZOOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVEDt May 31, 1963' / ATTESTS e� NO. 342 office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., May 249 1963 Board of County Commissioners net in regular session with the following members being present: Commissioners Pettit, Cummins and Massa.. Also present being Mr. Bradshaw and Reporter Crouse. Lotion by Mr. Cummins;•seconded by Mr. Mazza' that the resignations as sub - witted by the following employees be accepted, effective date and department indicated opposite their name. Betty Chatman, Cleaming Staff May 17, 1963 Lillian Manzinl, Tax Claim Bureau May 230 1963 Loren Watson$ Surplus Food May 23, 1963 Thus J. Vercek, Surplus Food dune if 1963 Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr* Massa, that the Yollowing resolution rat Washington County Airport - Contract No. 4, with the Indyk Brothers Construction Company be adopted: That Indyk Brothers Construction Company be forgiven liquidation damages in the amount of $89,597.01, because they were prevented from completing the contract by delays beyond the control of said Contractor's. Motion carried unacni.mously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Massa, that the Engineering firm of Engelhardt & Power and Associates be employed to make a topographic survey from the bridge near the entrance to the R.C.A. Plant and over McClain Run to the Railroad Bridge where McClain Run meets Chartiers Creek for an amount which is not to exceed $500#00. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr, Cummins,, seconded bit Mr. Mazza, that the District Attorneys Office be notified that debris is being thrown into Chartiers Creek where the County, City of Washington and Canton Township have spent a considerable sum of money for the improvement of the Chartiers Creek Flood Control Project, and that the County Detectives should be sent to this, vicinity to apprehend guilty ones and put a drive on to stop this practice. Lotion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cumin, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the meeting be adjourned., Motion carried innmaidmusly.
