ITEM 14 Furnishing materials (covers) and services, binding and
labeling approximately 400 books, including transcripts,
assessment booked and tax duplicates.
Material and workmanship as per sample. $ 7.65 each $3060.00
Our bid includes blocking out and imprinting 4500 Annual Assessment Sheets 1964.
NOTE: Successful bidder must furnish any, of the above ITEMS upon request during the
12 month period from date of award.
Samples above referred to may be examined in the Tax Assessment Office in the
Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania.
Attached hereto is the required Certified Check in the amount of $250,00
$4,672.01 Total Amount of Bid.

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the contract for
the furnishing of materials and service required for the Tax Assessment Office (Board For The
Assessment And Revision Of Taxes) for the year 1964 be awarded to the MONONGAHELA PUBLISHING
COMPANY, Monongahela, Pennsylvania, in the total amount of $4,672.01; this being the lowest
and only bid received.

Board of County Camrd.ssioners met in regular session with the following
members being present: Commissioners Cummins and Mazza. Also present beings Chief Clerk
Polaski,q County Statistician Marino, Reporter Crouse and Mr. Bradshaw. Mr. Pettit absent
being on vacation.
Mr. Mazza acting as Chairman of the meeting.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Gladys Balmer, Box 17,
Allenport, Pennsylvania, be appointed as Assessor for the Borough of Allenport. Mrs. Balmer to
fill the vacancy which now exists created by the death of Earl Balmer.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Massa, that the resignation as
submitted by Melvin R. Yeager, Elevator Operator at the Courthouse, be accepted effective
August 1, 1963•
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County
Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for the furnishing and delivering of coal for
