BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
FRANCIS E. PETTIT, J. BLATCH CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS
Commissioners at this time.
Mrs. Irwing inquired about receiving funds fran the Centerville Clinic
(Homemakers Service.) A meeting is being arranged for Mrs. Irwing with Mr. Kenneth J.
Yablonski for the purpose of seeing about entering into an Agreement for Homemakers Service
for the Catholic Social Service.
Mrs. Irwing informed the Board that a new hospital care program for
severely retarded children from birth.to the age of seven (7) is being established in
New Brighton, Pennsylvania to be known as McGuire Memorial (Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh).
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion carried unanimously.

NO. 356 Office of the County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., August 14, 1963
Board of County Commissioners met in special session for the purpose
of awarding the contract for the rental of various equipment.to be used at the Chartiers Creek
Flood Control Project; with the following members being present: Commissioners Pettit, Mazza,
and Deputy Controller Luketich. Bids were opened and tabled on August 9, 1963.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the Bissett Construction
Ccmpany, of New Freeport, Pennsylvania, be awarded the contract for the rental of various
items of equipment (to be used in connection with the Chartiers Creek Flood Control Project)
for the prices as set forth in their bid which was opened, read and tabled on August 9, 1963;
this being the lowest and only bid received.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion carried unanimously.

No. 357 Office of the County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., August 16, 1963
Board of County Commissioners met inzegular session with the following
members being present: Commissioners Pettit and Mazza. Also present being: County Solicitor
Hormell, Chief Clerk Polaski, County Statistician Marino, Reporter Crouse and Mr. Bradshaw.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County purchase
one (1) heater from C. W. Phillips do Sons, 28 North Franklin Street, Washington, Pennsylvania,
in the amount of $185.00, this being the lowest quotation submitted, two quotations being
received by the Purchasing Agent's Office. Heater to be installed in Hangar No. A-1 at the
Washington County Airport, said hangar being rented by the National Guards.
