BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Washington, Pa., November 22, 1963
Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following
members being present: Commissioners Pettit, Cummins, and Mazza. Also present being County
Solicitor Hormell, Controller Elish, Mr. Nieksiek of the County Engineers Office, County
Commissioners elect; Mr. Bevec, and Mr. Flynn, and Reporter Crouse.
Motion by Mr.,Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following resolution
in connection with State Highway Route 62133, Bridge No. 1, from Station 0+07 to Station 10#50,
located in Cross Creek and Hopewell Townships, Washington County, Pennsylvania, be adopted:
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of Washington County, Pennsylvania,
that the plans submitted by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways, for the changing of grades,
lines, location, and widths of State Highway Route 62133, Bridge No. 1, from Station 0+07 to
Station 10+50, located in Cross Creek and Hopewell Townships, Washington County, Pennsylvania,
have been examined by the Washington County Commissioners and they agree that Washington County
will not assume liability for any property damages resulting from the changing of the above named
Route as proposed by these plans; or any damages arising out of any changes or alterations of
drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of this highway; or any damages resulting
to any property holdings of any Public Utility Company; nor will the County assume any damages
resulting to any coal or other minerals, or waters, in and underlying the property affected by
this improvement; that Washington County will not contribute to the payment of property damages
on this Highway, due to previous commitments.

Motion carried unanimously.
At this time Mr. Wk. Hutchison, Office Manager of U.S.D.A., County Office
and Mr. Ralph Travis, Assistant County Agent entered the meeting.
Motion by Mr.Cunmins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that we, Commissioners of
Washington County, recognize and become the sponsoring group for 4-H club activities in this
County and declare that they are entitled to receive the sum of ;2,000.00 and therefore we also
appoint Mr. John Mazza, 29 a County Commissioner member to the Board.

be authorized and directed to satisfy the mortgage from James 0. Comella, et ux., to Morris
Goldman, et ux., recorded in the Recorder's Office Mortgage Book 560, page 112, to secure the
payment of $25,000.00 which mortgage was assigned to the County as collateralsecurity for the
judgment on file in the Prothonotary's Office at No. 637 May Term 1960, DSB.
The Solicitor is further directed to obtain a certification of said
satisfaction and to turn the same over to John F. Wiley, Esquire, for submission to the Department
of Forests and Waters, Water and Power Resources Board, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in connection
with the Chartiers Creek Flood Control Project and the payment of the State due therefore.
