BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PE.NNSYLVANIA
FRANCIS E. PETTIT, J. BLATCH CUMMINS, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS
by Alice S. Elliott, Dining Room Matron at the Washington County Home for Aged Women, be
accepted effective December 31, 1963.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr.Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the resignation as
submitted by Belle Strachan, Nurse at the Washington County Home for Aged Women, be accepted
effective December 31, 1963.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the resignation as sub-
mitted by Charles W. Reynolds, Assistant Registrar in the Registration Office be accepted
effective December 15, 1963.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion carried unanimously.

NO. 383 Office of the County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., December 20, 1963
Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following
members being presents Commissioners Pettit, Cummins, and Mazza. Also present being Keery
McAmbley, Director of the Washington County Redevelopment Authority, Neil Stafford of the
Redevelopment Authority and Controller Elish.
Meeting called to order by Chairman of the Board, Francis F. Pettit.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Board of County
Commissioners adopt the following resolutions
R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Washington has certified
the area known as the Central City Urban Renewal Area, a description of which is attached hereto
and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington desires to
undertake the development of siad area, and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington wishes to
obtain financial assistance from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of Four Hundred
and Ninety -Nine, Nine Hundred and Fifty -Three ($499,953) Dollars, and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington has pre-
pared the attached Application for Redevelopment Assistance Grant, Form BCD-4;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Redevelopment Authority of the
County of Washington be and is authorized to file the attached Application for Redevelopment
Assistance Grant, Form BCD-4. for a grant in the amount of Four Hundred and Ninety -Nine, Nine
Hundred and Fifty -Three ($499,953) Dollars, in order to further the redevelopment program.
And it is further resolved that the redevelopment area as certified by the Planning Commission
is hereby approved for redevelopment. And it is further resolved that the housing needs of the
