Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the regular Board meetings of
the County Commissioners be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week commencing at
1: 30 P.M.
Motion carried unanimously.
The Organization of the Board of County Commissioners having been effected
ing to Law, upon motion of Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that this meeting be continued on
Tuesday, January 3, 1956 at 1:30 P.M., in order that the Board might organize as the Washington
County Institution District at this time.
Motion carried unanimously.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session met at 1:30 P.M., for continua-
tion of the meeting adjourned January 2, 1956 for the purpose of organizing the Board, those
present being Commissioners Pettit, Lane and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that all personnel under the juris-
diction of the County Commissioners be retained on a temporary basis, this action being retro-
active to January 2, 1956.

Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Andy Pagac be appointed as a
Clerk in the Veterans' Office, this action being retroactive to January 2, 1956.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Jay Troutman be appointed as
Solicitor for the Tax Assessment Office, this action being retroactive to January 2, 1956.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that August L. Sismondo be appointed
as Solicitor for the Tax Claim Bureau, this action being retroactive to January 2, 1956.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Board of County Commissioners
of the County of Washington renew note for $200,000.00 as a temporary loan dated November 15,
1955 as follows:
"WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Two Hundred
Thousand (200,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1956,
and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and have been
levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1956; now, therefore, s
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Wash-
ington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the
County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate
a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have
been levied and to be collected during the year 1956, and so much of said taxes as may -be nec-
essary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose,
and issue a note therefor, payable August 6 1956, with interest from date of said rote at the
rate of one and three -fourth per cent (1 A%) per annum, free of all taxes levied by Common-
wealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay,
said note to be negotiated and issued as follows:
