There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Februa 2 19',5G ATTEST: /� '� Chief Clerk NO. 5 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., January 11, 1956 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Commissioners Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Thousand ($100,O00.00) Dollars as a tem- porary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to -wit: "WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred Thousand ( 100,Ooo.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1956, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1956; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washing- ton that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tempora- ry loan on such terms as may be agreed -upon by them, payable out of taxes which have been levied and to -be collected during the year 1956, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issues a note therefor, payable August 6, 1956, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one and three -fourth per cent (1 3/4%) per annum, free of all taxes levied by Commonweath of Pennsylvania} which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows: PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY, WASHINGTON, PA...... ............ ....... $100,00©.00" Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Court Order be tablmd until the next regular meeting. In re: Court Stenographer 'Whereas, my reporter Ethel M. Watson, has been exclusively assigned to the com- pletion of the record in the equity proceeding involving the Sewer Authority of the City of Washington, et al., and during the November Term of Court, it was necessary to use another re- porter; and by special assigrm:ent, my court stenographer, Kathryn K. Lancaster performed the duties of court reporter. The differences in the salaries of'the two offices being approximately $3.00 a day, and she having rendered 15 days' service, the following Order is entered: 0 RD E R AND NOW, this loth day of January, 1956, the County Commissioners are ordered to pay to Kathryn K. Lancaster, as Court reporter, for additional services rendered, the sum of $45. oo. Roy I. Carson /s/ President Judge Motion carried unanimously. At this time, Judge Anderson and Controller E1ish were called into the meeting in regards to the error made by the County Controllers' Office in paying Irene Steed, Secretary to Judge Anderson, the amount of $200.00 per month instead of S100.00 per month as was passed in minute no.11128-Su the motion being as follows: "Motion by Judge Anderson, seconded by Mr. Lane, that the salary of Irene G. Steed, Secretary to Judge Anderson be set at $100.00 per month, this
