Board of County Commissioners in special sessions those present being Commissioners
Pettit and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the following Resolution of the
Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvanias relative to the
issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Thousand ($100,OOO.00) Dollars as a temporary
loan, was presented duly seconded and adapted by the said Board to -snit:
"WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the am of One Hundred
Thousand ($1003,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1956, and
to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues-Abich have been assessed and have been levi,sd
and to be collected by the County during the year 1956; nm, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washing-
ton, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses for the County,
the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tem-
porary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by thew, payable out of taxes which have boon
levied and to be colle ted during the year 1956, and so mach of said taxes as may be necessary to
repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a
note therefor, payable August 6, 1956, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one
and three -fourth per cent (1 3/4%) per annum., free of all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Pennsyl-
vania., which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be nego-
tiated and issued as follows:
PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AM TRUST COMPANY, WASHINGTON, PA........................$100s000.00"
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County Controller be author.
ized to advertise for bids for the furnishing and delivery of a Steel. Filing Case for Record -
Books for use in the Prothonotary's Office in the Courthouse, Washington, Pa.; said bids to be
received by the County Controller in his office in the Courthouse, Washington, Pa., until 13A400
a.m., Thursday.. March 29, 1956 And. -opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County
Commissioners.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a credit be given to the Penowa
Coal Company in the amount of $7.22 on property assessed in Mt. Pleasant Township, Wash*ng on �
County, described as Primrose Mine Lease to Capuder & Petaek, 39.16 acres, 5 acres coal active
DB 910-7. Tax Adjustment dated January 3, 1956 stated that the property is mined out. Reason
for ssi.d credit being that Penowa Coal Company had paid the above tax on July 20, 19551, they are
