Therefore, the County Controller is hereby authorized to make said credit to Penowa Coal Company. Motion carried. Motion by Mr, Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the Board of the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, be authorized to prepare voucher in the mount of $2.88 made payable to Wilfred P. Hillman., Route 88, Library, Pa., for a refund due to a duplicate payment of taxes on Lot No. 73 assessed with other lots and a house in the name of Wilfred P. Hillman, said property situate in the 2nd Ward of Monongahela, Pa. Reason for refund being that Lot No. 73 was sold t® Mr. Elmer C. Rosensteel but remained assessed in the name of Hillman since 1952. A total mount of $2.88 was paid for the 1953, 1954 and 1955 County Tax, therefore; the Tax Assessment Office is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $2.88 made payable to Wilfred P. Hillman. Duplicate tax receipts are on file in the Tax Assessment Office. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Ann McMurdy, be place on the Tax Assessment Office payroll for a period of one week to cover vacation earned during the year of 1955, but due to an error was not allowed at the time of her furlough. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the following Resolution in regards to changing of State Highway Route 247, in Carroll Township and Donora Borough, Washing County, Pennsylvania, be adopted: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County that the Plans submitted for the changing of State Highway Route 2473 Section S-4 from Station 115+00.0 to Station 158+64.98; State Highway 1bute 247 Spur S-1 from Station 0+50.00 to Station 105+50.00; also from Station 111+92.50 to Station 128+50.00 and from Station 164+00.00 to station-177+84.00, in Carroll Township and Donora Borough; Washington County, and having a total length of 3.39 miles' have been examined by the County Commissioners and they agree that Washington County will not assume liability for any property damages resulting from the changing of the above named highway as contemplated by these flans; or any damages arising out of any changes or alteration of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of this highway, or 4W damages mesultingito affly �. u�Y 32 K t, N, t t E Q 0 K BOARD O'F' C1JUNTY' COMMISSIONERS WASHINGT©N COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA FRANMS E. LANE, JUHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS property holdings of any Public Utility Company; zior will the County assume any damages resulting to any coal or other minerals in and underlying the property affected by this improvement, but that Washington County will contribute the sum of Five Thousand (5,000.00) Dollars toward the payment of property damages on this section of highway; this contribution being made with the understanding that payment will be due and payable only upon receipt of certification from the Secretary of Highways that the amount of Five Thousand ($5,000.00) dollars has been expended by the Department of Highways in the settlement of property damages for the aforesaid improvement. Township Road Nos. 802 and 818 all in Somerset Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, be adopted; RESOLUTION BE IT ASOLVED by the Co-4nty Commissioners of Washington County that the Plans for the changing of existing width; lines or location of State Highway Route 62054 - Spur "E", Station 2, from Sta. 352+00 to Sta. 498+83.62; Route 62052, Sec. 2; from Sta. 4.98+83.62 to Sta. 671+00; Route 62054 from Sta. 3+17.12 to Sta. 24+Q0; Route 62052 from Sta. 12+56.80 to Sta. 21+5C; Route 62056 from Stat. 10+00 ahead to Sta. 12+56.80 and Sta. 10+00 back, to Sta. 24+97.99; Town- ship Road No. 802 from Sta. 7+25 to Ste. 15+00 and Township Road No. 818 from Sta. 0+08 to Sta. 14+50; all in Somerset Township; Washington County, have been examined by the County Commissioners and they agree that Washington County will not assume liability for any property damages result- ing from the changing of the above named highway as contemplated by these Plans; or any damages arising out of any changes or alteration of drainage resulting from the construction or maintet. nance of this highway, or any damages resulting to any property holdings of any Public Utility Company; nor will the County assume any damages resulting to any coal or other minerals in and underlying the property affected by this improvement; but that the County of Washington will pay to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as a contribution to said property damages the stun of Thirty Thousand ($30,000.00) Dollars, the said, sum to be paid in three (3) annual payments, which shall be paid as follows: The sum of Ten Thousand ($1.0, 000.00) Dollars to be paid on or before December 15, 1956. The sum of Ten Thousand ($10,000.00) Dollars to be paid on or before December 15, 1957. The sum of Ten Thousand ($10,000.00) Dollars to be paid on or before December 15, 1958. These annual contributions are being made with the understanding that payment , will be due and payable only upon certification from the Secretary of Highways that the annual increments of Ten Thousand ($10,000.00) Dollars each has been expended by the Department of Highways in the settlement of property damages for the aforesaid improvement.
