MONON.AN[LA •U.LI.NINO CO NO. 38 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., May 3, 1956 Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Commis. 'sioners Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza., that the following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Thousand ($1003000,00) Dollars as a temporary loan, Was presented duly seconded and adopted by the said Board to -wit: "WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1956, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1956; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washing- ton,. that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temp- orary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of t;Xes which have been levied and to be collected during the year 1956, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, payable August 6 19563, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one and three -fourth per cent (1 3/0 per axmum, free of all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Penn- sylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows: PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY, WASHINGTON, PA.....................$100,000.00" Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Joseph O'Hourke be appointed as a temporary employee of the Field Crew of the Tax Assessment Office, this action being retroactive to May 1, 1956. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Lloyd Carson, be appointed as a temporary employee of the Field Crew of the Tax Assessment Office, this action being,retroactive to May 1, 1956. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Donald E. Bowman, be appointed as a temporary tracer in the drafting room of the Tax Assessment Office, this action being retroactive; to May 2, 1956. Motion carried unanmously.
