PETTIT, 'jW-1NMAZZA, Cbmmiss1ONeRs Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Esther Jacobs, be appointed as a temporary clerk in the Registration Office, this action being retroactive to May 1, 1956. Motion carried unanimously. At this time, George W. Weaver, Esq., and W. W. Groner, Clerks of the Return Board for the Primary Election of 1956, entered the meeting and advised the Board of Commissioners that after a thorough examination of the General Return Sheets and the Tally Sheets which were made out by the Election Board of the Seventh Ward, Second Precinct'of theCity of Washington, Pa., they could not reconcile vote as given to the Candidates for the General Assembly, the votes tabulated apparently being in excess of the number of votes cast; therefore, requested permissior. to open ballot box and count the votes for each candidate for the Office of General Assembly and permission to rectify errors, if any. After examination of the Official Return Sheet by the Board of County Commissioner-, and upon motion of Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza,, the Clerks of the Return Beard were authorized to open said ballot box and count the votes for the office in question and mare any necessary corrections. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned; THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: I dune , 19 ATTE ; : .� f Clerk / r i ho % Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., May 11. 1956 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Commissioner. Pettit and Lane. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the Personal Property Department of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, be authorized to prepare a refund voucher in the amount of $15.62, made payable to William J. Holt, 27 W. Water Street, Canonsburg, Penn- sylvania, said refund to cover tax paid on August 1, 1955. Mr. Holt erroneously filed and paid the Personal Property Tax under the name of H. M. Construction Co., which company is now and was then a corporation and paying corporate loans tax to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and for this reason, the company is exempt from the 4 mill tau. Therefore, the Personal Property Department is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in said amount of 15.62, payable to William J. Holt. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Raymond Kenny, who resides at R. D. 2, Finleyville, Pa., be appointed as Assessor of Nottingham Township to fill the vacancy which now exists by the resignation of John Ford. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr.- Pettit, that Charles Pritchard, who resides at New Eagle, Pa,, be appointed as Assessor of New Eagle Borough to fill the vacancy which now
