Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that John Sokol be appointed as a temporary employee of the Tax Assessment Office, this action being retroactive to.May 16, 1956. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $15,20 be made payable to Albert and Marie Colantoni of Richeyville, Pa., due to a duplicate payment of 1955 County Tax. On august 26, 1955 the amount of $15.20 was paid on property assesses►, in the name of Albert & Marie Col.antoni on property situate in Centerville Borough and described as 6 room shingle house.. Lot 155 Richeyville Plan, on August 31, 1956 the amount of $15.20 was again paid thus creating a duplicate payment. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $15,20, Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr..Mazza, that.the following resolution be adopter to create a Redevelopment Authority of Washington County. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, there exists many blighted areas in Washington County which are harmful to the social and economic well being of the communities in -which they exist, and 11EREAS, there is need for an Authority to function to acquire, replan, clear, re- habilitate, or rebuild for residential, recreational., commercial, industrial, or other purposes, including the provision of streets, parks, recreational areas, and other spaces, 1. A body to be known as the A&uj&v=DPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF WASHINGTON be created and established therein, pursuant to the provisions of the Act of 1945, May 24th, P. L. 991. 2, The Secretary of the County Commissioners shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to be filed with the Department of State and a duplicate thereof with the State Planning Francis E.
