Motion by 14r. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the forth coming tax sale scheduled bf, the Washirgton County Tax Claim Bureau for July 9, 1956 at 10:00 A.M., E.S.T., be postponed for a period of sixty (60) days to September 7, 1956. The postponement is authorized under the Provisions of the Act of Assembly passed on July 7, 19479 P.&I* 1368.. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following resolution in regard to providing for coverage of certain officers and employees under social security be adopted: RES-OLUT ION MiLH1;'AS, the County of Washington, a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, desires to provide for the coverage of its certain officers and employees under the Federal Social Security Act, and MHEBMS, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has by legislative enactment provided for a referendum to be conducted in such event, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOLM BY THE RMINGTON COUWY CO*1ISSIONERS That: 1. The Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is requested to authorizes. referendum with respect to the employees and officers of the County of Washington. 2. That the chief clerk of the County Commissioners shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to be filed with the Governor and a da.plicate thereof with the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare and Secretary of Labor and Industry. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Beath Mal.inchak be appointed as a temporary clerk in the Tax Assessment Office, this action being retroactive to June 16, 1956. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Massa, that Martin Macalak be appointed as a temporary employee of the Sealer of Weights and Measurers, this action being retro"ve ' o June 18, 1956.
