Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be authori�,
ed to advertise for bids for the furnishing and delivering of coal to the Courthouse and Jail
for the 1956-1957 season. Bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office in the
Courthouse, Washington, Pa., until 11:30 a.m., Daylight Savings Time, Monday, August 27, 1956,
and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the Washington County Commissioners.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that William L. Windsor, be engaged
as the Social Security Consultant for the County of Washington.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the $card at this time, the
meeting adjourned.

purpose of opening bids for the furnishing and delivering of election supplies for the General
Election to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 1956, those present being Commissioner Pettit and

In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, inviting proposals
for the furnishing and delivering to the Office of the County Commissioners election supplies to
include computing books, the required quantity of military envelopes and Instruction sheets (the
quantity to be determined by size of election district), tally -sheets, general return sheets,
envelopes, numbered lists of voters, voter's certificates, Election Manuals or Election Hand
Books or Instruction Books, required for use by the election officers at the General Election to
be held Tuesday, November 6, 1956. Having examined the attached specifications and understanding
the same, I (or We) propose to furnish these supplies in accordance therewith, for the stun of:

A certified check in the amount of $200.00 is enclosed herewith, made payable to
Washington County Commissioners, as evidence that the bidder will accept same and carry out the
conditions of the contract in case of award.
