Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be authorize3
to make the necessary transaction to credit the Office of the Prothonotary with the following
fees for filing rules and petitions on the August 15, 1956 Free and Clear Sale, that were charged
to the Tax Claim Bureau. The summary of the fees is as follows:

Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being Cozmni.ssioners
Pettit, Lane, Mazza and County Solicitor Docktor.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the action taken by the County
Commissioners on September 12th, 1956, to employ C. Edwin Hultman to perform work in and about
the restoration of records in the various offices of the County be and is the same hereby
rescinded and revoked.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that C. Edwin Hultman Company be
employed on a unit price basis to perform work in and about the restoration of such records and
only on such books or volumes that shall from time to time be designated in writing by the
Commissioners or the Chief Clerk. Payment and work to be performed to be as follows:
Hultman will ink treat or laminate volumes in the Offices of the Recorder of
Deeds and the Clerk of Courts, the ink treatment to be done under the Clyde L. Campbell, et al.,
patented process, and the books necessary to be bound by the Hultman Brothers patented process
at a price of $425.00 per volume; volumes shall be repaired and rebuilt and transferred to loose
leaf binders under the Hultman Brothers patented process at a price of $137.50 per volume;
volumes shall be repaired and rebound under the Hultman Brothers patented process at a price of
$82.50 per volume; volumes shall be photostated and mounted on durable cloth and bound in a
loose leaf binder under the Hultman Brothers patented process, photostatic reduction of any map
not to exceed 50%, all Map Books to be made a standard size which shall be approved by the
Recorder of Deeds and all mounted maps to have the edges treated with a solution that will help
to retard fraying at a price of $9.50 per page; volumes to have new jackets with proper mark-
ings at a price of $17.50 per volume.
A written agreement in accordance with this motion is to be entered into before
any work is to be done hereunder.
Motion carried unanimously, with Mr. Docktor leaving the meeting.

Motion by Mr. Lane., seconded by Mr. Mazza., that the following tax
assessment of United States Steel be deleted from the 1957 Tax Assessment Book of Cecil Town-
ship reason being that the tipple and washery assessed valuation of $42,800 and a tipple assess-
ed valuation of $12,000, was scrapped in 1956.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane., seconded by Mr. Mazza., that the following Resolution of the
County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania,, relative to the issue
by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Fifty Thousand ($150.,000.00) Dollars as a temporary
loan., was presented duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to -wit:
"VEEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred
Fifty Thousand ($150.,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expense for the year
1956, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and
have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1956; now, therefore.,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Wash-
ington., that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the
County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate
a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have
been levied and to be collected during the year 1956, and so much of said taxes as may be
necessary to repay said loan., with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose,
and issue a note therefor, payable December 31, 1956, with interest from date of said note at
the rate of one and three -fourth per cent (1 3/4%) per annum., free of all taxes levied by
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to
pay,, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows:
PEOPLES FIRST NhTIOITAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY, WASHIMTON., PA ..................... $150,000.o0ll
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane., seconded by Mr. Mazza., that the bids as submitted by General
Electric Company and Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc., for the proposed Two -Way
F. M. Radio Communication System for the County of Washington be forwarded to Dr. E. M.
Williams, Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Carnegie Institute of Technology, for a
thorough study and a recommendation on awarding of said bids.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane., seconded by Mr. Mazza., that Minute Nos. 78., 79., 80, 81, 82,
83., 84, 85, 86, 87, 88., 89 and 90, were read and approved.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the
meeting adjourned.
