LANE, JOHN MAZZA, CammiasiDNE:I;rs MONONGAHELA PUBLISHING CO I J I NO. 9 2-A Office of County Commissioners Washington, Pa., December 7, 1956 Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being Commission- ers Pettit, Lane and Mazza. At this time, Mr. Elfish, County Controller, entered the meeting for the purpose of awarding the contract for the furnishing of insurance to cover each and every office in the Courthouse and Institution District in accordance with Act No. 123 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved July 17, 1953, Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza,, that JOHN S. McCANS,, Real Estate and Insurance Agency, 207 Seventh Street., Donora., Pa.., being the lowest responsible bidder., bidding the amount of 050.60 total premium for three years to be placed with American Automobile In- surance Company, be awarded the contract for the furnishing of insurance to cover each and every office in the Courthouse and Institution District., and in accordance with Act No. 123 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved July 17, 1953, in accordance with specifications as were submitted to bidders, Motion carried unanimously, with Mr. Elish leaving the meeting. The County Commissioners now entered a meeting with the Soil Conservation board with the following members present: T. Scott Pease of Washington County Artificial Breeding Coop. and James McGugin of Washington County Farm Bureau Cooperative. All farm organizations had been notified of this meeting for the election of a director to the Soil Conservation Board. It was the unanimous recommendation of the following County -Wide Agricultural grganizations; South Western Penn1a. Jersey Breeders' Assn.., The National Farm Loan Association of Washington., Washington 'county Pomona Grange, Washington County Artificial Breeding Coop.., Washington County Guernsey Breeders' Association and Washington County Young Farmers AssIn., that Harry Hank, be re -appointed as a director of the boil Conservation Board for a four year term. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Harry Hank., R. D. 1., Monongahela., Pennsylvania., be re -appointed as a director of the Soil Conservation Board for a four (4) year term, effective January 1, 1957. Motion carried unanimously, with the soil conservation representatives being excused from the meeting. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Francis E. Pettit, be appointed as Commissioner member of the Board for a term of one year.
