Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Commissioner3
Pettit and Lane.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit., that the County Controller be
authorized to advertise for the furnishing of Fleet Insurance in a reliable and approved stock
company for public liability,, property damage., comprehensive A.C.V.., fire, theft and collision
coverage on trucks., automobiles and road-building machinery owned and operated by Washington
County. Such bids will be received by the County Controller's Office until 11:00 a. m..,
Eastern Standard Time, Friday., February 15,, 1957 and will be opened imwdiately thereafter in
the Office of the County Commissioners.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit,, that the County -Controller be
authorized to advertise for the printing and delivering to the Election Department the necessary
ballots and election supplies required for the conduct of the Municipal Primary Election to be
held on Tuesday, May 21, 1957 and the delivering of ballot boxes with election supplies to the
Judges of Election ofr the one hundred eighty-seven (187) precincts. Such bids will be received
by the County Controller's Office until 11:00 a.m.., Eastern Standard Time., Friday., February 15.,
1957 and will be opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners.
Motion carried.
At this time, Controller Elish entered the meting for the purpose of opening
bids for the furnishing of Public Liability Insurance and Property Damage Insurance, bids were
scheduled to be opened at 11:00 a.m., but postponed due to the lack of a quorum.
In accordance with aforementioned advertisement., the following bids were opened
and read:
