THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: Feb 1957 ATTEST: 19 57 14, ef Clerk— NO. 04 Office of the County Commissioners Washington., Pa., January 30,, 1957 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Commissioners Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit., that Farrell Jackson., Jr.., be appointed as a Field Assessor in the Tax Assessment Officey this action being retroactive to January 28., 1957. Mr. Jackson is a temporary employee. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane., seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Homer Griffith., be appointed as a relief supervisor of the cleaning staff., to work only those days that J. Blatch Cummins will not be on duty. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time the meeting adjourned. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsyl-mnial relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars As a temporary loan., was present., duly seconded and adopted by the said Board., to wit: "WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1957, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1957; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Wash- ington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have been levied and to be collected during the year 1957, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan., with interest., is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose,, and issue a note therefore., payable August 5, 1957, with interest from date of said note at the rate of two per cent (2%) per annum., free 6f all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Pennsylvania., which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note be negotiated and issued as follows:
