LANE, JOHN MAZZA, CmMMLSS10NERs �45 No. 319 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., March 26, 1957 Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Commis. sioners Pettit and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County Solicitor be empowered to purchase approximately one and one half (1J) acres of land adjacent to the Washing- ton County Airport from Is$ec Newtown Chadwick and Evlyn K., et ux,, for the sum of $500.00. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the notice for the final adoption of the Washington County General Fund Budget be advertised and the final day of set for April 10, 1957, the following public notice be given in the Washington Observers NOTICE In compliance with the provisions of the Acts of Assembly covering such matters, the budgets for the financial affairs for the Washington County General Fund and the Wash- ington County Institution District for the fiscal year of 1957 having been made available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk to the County Commissioners, Court- house, Washington, Pennsylvania, shall be finally adopted on Wednesday, April 10, 1957. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Rose Sacco be appointed as a Cleaning Woman, replacing Jennie Comer, this action being retroactive to March'19,, 1957. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Richard ,Ambrose, be appointed as a Field Crew Worker in the Tax Assessment Office, this action being retroactive to March 18, 1957. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Odie C. Headly, be appointed as a Field Craw Worker in the Tax Assessment Office this action being retroactive to March 18, 1957. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Carolyn D. Stevens, be as a Clerk in the Tax Assessment Office, this action being retroactive to March 25, 1957. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of $1.05 be -made payable to Althea C. King, R. D. 1,. West Alexander, Penmsylvania, due to a duplicate payment of the 1956 occupation tax. On August 23, 1956, the amount of $1..05 was inclu, ed when the 1956 County Real Estate Tax was paid in the amount of $39.71 on property assessed in the name of Alva & Althea King, West Finley. On August 23, 1956, the occupation tax was again paid when the individual tax card of Althea C. King was paid in the amount of $1..05 (the name of Althea C. King appears in the bac of the tax book) thus causing a duplicate payment of $1..05 for the 1956 occupation tax. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepoxe said voucher
