LANE, JOHN MAZZA, CommissiamEns I� 1 1 Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that due to -a misunderstanding over the terms of payment for the (cleaning,, pointing and general repair work of the Washington County Courthouse and Washington County Jail Buildings) and for the purpose of securing more bidders, the County Controller is hereby authorized to re -advertise for bids for the cleaning, pointing and general repair work of the Washington County Courthouse and Washington County Jail Buildings. Such bids will be received by the Washington County Controller until 11.30 am., Daylight Saving Time, Friday, June 7, 1957, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office pf the County Com- missioners. adjourned. May 23, 1957 Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Commis Pettit and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand ($125,000.0o) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to -wits ffV&ERFAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred Twenty FiveThousand ($125,00©.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1957,_ and. to be payable out of takes and other current revenues which have been assessed and have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1957; now.. therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washing- ton, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tempdxar loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have been levied and to be collected during the year 1957, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note there- fore, payable August 5, 1957, with interest from date of said note at the rate of two per cent (2%) per annum, free of all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assusaes and agrees to pay, said Dote to be negotiated and issued as fellows: PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AM TRUST COMPANY, WASHIAGTON, PA .............. . . .........�1.25, Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the Washington County Tax lClaim Bureau is hereby authorized to advertise the forethcoming Tax Sale in the Washington Observer and the Monongahela Daily Republican, and one publication in the Washington Record Comparv, as prescribed by the Acts of Assembly, Said sale to be held on July 8, 1957. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the adjourned.
