Board of County Commissioners met in special session at 1:30 p.m... for the purpo
of awarding the contract for the cleaning, pointing and general repair work of the Washington
County Courthouse and Washington County Jail Buildings, bids were opened at 11:30 a.m., and
tabled being that a quorum was not present.
Pettit, bane and Deputy Controller Marino.
Those present at this meeting being Commissioners
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the JOSEPH J. GftACIAND COMPANY,
71O Swissvale Avenue, Pittsburgh 21, Pennsylvania.. be awarded the contract for the cleaning,
pointing and general repair work of the Washington County Courthouse and Washington County Jail
Buildings for the total amount of $88,980.40 which is in accordance with their proposal, this
being the lowest responsible bid received,
Motion carried unanimously with deputy Controller Marino leaving the meeting.
Lotion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Steven A. Stephanian II, be
appointed as a temporary field crew worker, in the Tax Assessment Office, this action being
effective June 10, 1957.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Farrell Jackson, Jr., be ap.
pointed as a temporary field crew'worker inthe Tax Assessment Office, this action being effec-
tive June ld, 1957.
Motion carried.
