Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Gugliotta, that this joint group ofWashingtonj and Greene County Commissioners go on record to petition the Pennsylvania Department of Highways to expedite the construction and improvement of U. S. Route 19 from Pancake to the West Virginia Line and to be included in the Federal Highway System as an interstate road on a 90% allocation and a 10% allocation limited access. This joint group wishes to.impress upon the Pennsylvania Department of Highways that the improvement of U. S. Route 19 is of primary interest. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Gugliotta, that this joint group of And Greene County Commissioners go on record to petition the,Pennsylvania Department of HighwVs' to improve and relocate Route 18 from Washington by way of Prosperity to Sycamore to Waynesburg, and that engineers study the proper relocation of the road and the road to be renumbered Route-1 Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Gugliotta, that this joint group of and Greene County Commissioners go on record to petition the Pennsylvania Department of Highways to improve Legislative Route 62012 in Washington County and 30051 and 30103 in Greene County, a secondary road, from Millsboro via Clarksville and Mather to Jefferson in Greene County. Motion carried unanimously. A copy of this resolution to be forwarded to The Honorable George M. Leader, Governor of Pennsylvania, Federal Bureau of Roads, United Mates Senators Edward Martin and Jose, S. Clark, Jr., Congressman Thomas E. Morgan, District Engineer N. G. Bell and Secretary of High - Mays Joseph J. Lawler. There being no further business to come before the Board at'this time, the adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: Oct© ATTE NO. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Lane, that the following resolution on the approval of the project for flood control on Raccoon Creek in Smith Township to Burgettstown (Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania, be adopted: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Board of Washington County Commissioners did by resolution duly and adopted at a regular meeting held in the Washington County Courthouse on Monday, August 12, 1957, approve the project for flood control on Raccoon Creek in Smith Township, from Cherry Val in said Smith Township to Burgettstown Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania a distance of approximately five (5) miles and will affect approximately 150 homes; and .L
